Masters of Science (M.S.)
The objectives of the M.S. degree program are: (1) to enhance understanding of an area of horticultural science beyond the baccalaureate level; and (2) to attain scientific research skills.
M.S. candidates are considered novice researchers and may require considerable guidance in choosing and executing their thesis research projects. However, upon completion of the M.S., the students should have developed some capacity for independent research.
Annual Review. M.S. students will be reviewed annually by their advisers. This form will be distributed during the fall semester and should be completed during the annual review and returned to Darlene Berry. This progress form show the expected times to complete the milestones for each degree.
Graduate students in Horticulture must complete the following to meet university requirements for training in scholarship and research integrity (SARI).
