Options and Course Requirements

For the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Agroecology, a minimum of 123 credits is required. Students must choose either the Integrated Crop Management option or the Plant Science option.

Those students who anticipate enrollment in graduate school should elect the Plant Science option while those preparing to enter the profession with a B.S. degree should select the Integrated Crop Management option.

Options and Recommended Academic Plans:

The Agroecology Integrated Crop Management (ICM) option emphasizes the principles of plant and soil management and the basic sciences upon which these principles are based.

The Agroecology Plant Science option requires additional emphasis in the basic sciences: mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biotechnology.
