Loans

Financial assistance is available to Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program students under the G.I. Bill and under Federal Direct Stafford Loan is available through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.

Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program students are not eligible for scholarships under the Pennsylvania Higher Education Act or the Federal PELL Act.

Scholarships

Numerous scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants to the program or who have exhibited outstanding academic and leadership qualities during their time at Penn State. Although competitive, these scholarships help to offset tuition expenses. View a complete list of available scholarships.

Internships

One financial resource to consider is the income earned during the six months of on-the-job training. Students have the opportunity to earn a significant portion of their tuition expenses while gaining valuable experience on a golf course. In addition, most internships provide free housing and other benefits (overtime, golf, uniforms, etc.) that help defray student expenses.
