We are engaged in several projects that seek to combine the detailed one-dimensional modeling of plant growth, nutrient cycling, and land management simulation capabilities in Cycles with the hydrologic model PIHM. The resulting product is Cycles-L, a landscape level.

The latter is a fully-distributed 3-D model that simulates water flow in land-rivers systems. PIHM is supported by a harmonized database, Hydroterre. Multiple projects can exploit the data and model services that will be available with this system. Cycles-L is the evolution of Cycles that combines the fundamental attributes of the Cycles and PIHM models.
