First direct observations of how roots grow

Automated root imaging technique developed by Alex Bucksch at GA Tech and the PSU Roots Lab is featured in Scientific American and PhysOrg.

Alex Bucksch, a post-doc at Georgia Tech, developed an automated image analysis program which identifies traits in mature maize and bean plants. The work was recently published in the journal Plant Physiology, and featured Oct 8 in Phys Org and on Oct 9 in GA Tech News.  Read the full story:
