We recently welcomed high school students from the Brentsville Turf Toro Grounds Academy to campus for a full day of learning about turfgrass science, sports field management, and career opportunities within the industry.

The visit included stops at the Joseph E. Valentine Turfgrass Research Center, Jeffrey Field, Beaver Stadium, and Medlar Field, where students learned more about turfgrass science, sports field management, and career opportunities within the industry. Students also participated in a Q&A session before wrapping up the day with a visit to the Berkey Creamery.

It was great having the Brentsville Turf Toro Grounds Academy visit Penn State, and we appreciate their enthusiasm and interest throughout the day. We hope everyone enjoyed their time in State College and left with a better understanding of the many opportunities available within the turfgrass industry!
