Cacao for Peace (CfP) is a collaborative initiative between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA) (FAS) that began in January, 2016. CfP aims to strengthen Colombia’s key agricultural institutions for cacao in the public and private sectors. To help achieve this objective, the program targets four main areas for capacity building activities: 1) Agricultural Extension, 2) Education, 3) Research and 4) Technical Assistance.
