Penn State News features lab study on evolution of maize root systems for nitrogen efficiency.

A recent study lead by Larry York and Tania Galindo on root systems of commercial corn varieties grown under nitrogen stress has been featured on Penn State News (April 16, 2015, written by Chuck Gill). 

The study was featured on the cover of the Journal of Experimental Botany (Vol 66, 2015) as part of a special issue on the Roots to Global Food Security.
