In 2018 the DIRT paper ranked #4 highest allometric score of all Plant Physiology papers this year

Each year the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) announces the articles with the highest allometric scores in their journals. The Roots Lab article "Image-based high-throughput field phenotyping of crop roots" (Bucksch et al. 2014) received the 4th highest allometric score of all Plant Physiology articles in 2018. This paper highlights the Digital Imaging of Root Traits (DIRT) method to phenotype bean and maize root crowns from the field.
