Travis Russell Wins Stiegler Travel Award for CSSA Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX

Travis Russell, a second year PhD candidate in the Turfgrass Management Laboratory, received a travel award in the amount $1000 to attend and present research finding at the Crop Science Society of America Annual Meeting taking place November 9-13 in San Antonio, Texas. His presentation was titled "2,4-D Resistant Buckhorn Plantain (Plantago lanceolata) in Pennsylvania and Alternative Control Options" and placed 3rd in the student competition. The Chris Stiegler Turf Science Student Travel Award is awarded to exceptional graduate students conducting turfgrass research and supports travel to present research findings in the C-5 (turfgrass science) division at the annual CSSA meetings.
