The Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program at Penn State announces the name of its Fall 2020 scholarship recipients for the Penncross Bentgrass Growers Association and Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council Scholarship Awards.

University Park, Pa. - The Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program at Penn State announces the name of its Fall 2020 scholarship recipients for the Penncross Bentgrass Growers Association and Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council Scholarship Awards.

The Golf Course Turfgrass Management is a 2-year educational program on the University Park campus for students interested in a career as a golf course superintendent. The program provides numerous scholarships to meritorious students who are either entering the program or graduating.

The Penncross Bentgrass Growers Association has presented students in the turf industry with more than $460,000 in scholarships since 1974. This year, it awarded 5, $1000 scholarships to new students in the program.

The Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council also supports the program's teaching mission and also provides financial support of turfgrass research. This year they recognized 3 recipients with $1000 scholarships for their exceptional contribution in the field.

The Golf Course Turfgrass Management at Penn State would like to congratulate this year's winners: Nick Sterlace, John Dempsey, Payton Kvistad, Ryan Trudeau, Harrison Shomaker, Noah Emert, Michael Sheehan, Jacob Williams.
