On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the Penn State Center for Turfgrass Science, in collaboration with the Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program within the Department of Plant Science, hosted its annual Turfgrass Job and Internship Fair. Now in its fourth year, this event continues to grow in both scale and significance, connecting students with valuable career opportunities and attracting top employers from across the country.

The fair, held at the HUB Alumni Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., drew 197 attendees, including students, faculty, and exhibitors. Students were eager to engage with the 44 exhibitor booths representing employers from across Pennsylvania and 14 other states, including Alabama, Texas, and Florida.

In addition to networking opportunities, the fair featured mock interviews, offering students the chance to practice their interview skills with industry professionals. Eighteen mock interviews were conducted, thanks to the support of the visiting exhibitors who volunteered their time.

The venue and partial beverage service for the event were generously subsidized by the Student Engagement Grant from the College of Agricultural Sciences, further highlighting the university's commitment to providing career development opportunities for its students.

As the Turfgrass Job and Internship Fair continues to thrive, it remains an essential bridge between students and the rapidly evolving turfgrass industry, creating lasting connections and opening doors to promising careers.
