Appointment: Appointment is 33% Teaching, 33% Extension and 34% Research. Research interests include tree fruit and berry crop physiology and management practices, and data analysis and interpretation. Courses taught include HORT 573 (Interpreting Data From Experiments with quantitative treatments); FDSC/HORT 233 (The Science of Wine Making); the lab section of HORT 315 (Environmental Effects on Horticultural Crops);and HORT 431 (Small Fruit Production), taught in fall of odd years. I am the Administrative Advisor for the multi-state project NC-140 and I am the Editor of the Journal of the American Pomological Society.
