She is currently an Assistant Professor of Tree Fruit Production and Physiology at Penn State University in Biglerville; she started in August 2025 with 70% research and 30% extension appointment. Prior to that, she spent the last 12 years at Washington State University in Wenatchee focusing on Tree Fruit Physiology and Management. Her research experience is mainly on tree fruit physiology, orchard management (training system, rootstock, pruning and netting), flower biology and fruit quality at harvest and post-harvest. The main crops of interest for her are apple, pear and peach. She served as Chair of the Pomology working group for the American Society of Horticulture Science in 2021, she co-organized the “Innovative perennial crops management” symposium at the International Horticultural Conference in France in 2022.
