Two imaging modes have been integrated into the LAT system with a generous grant of $7,500 in Edmund Optics supplies.
LAT with EO optics
A monochrome camera and Infiniprobe macro lens 16x with interchangeable filters and LED stage illumination can be mounted, shown here, as an alternative imaging approach coupled with LAT, allowing resolution of distinct biological samples from the typical RGB camera set-up.
Camera mounting
A lab jack paired with Novoflex focusing rack provides XYZ positioning of the imaging system.
Interchangeable filters
Multiple filters are available to enhance imaging of the UV beam-illuminated biological samples.
Lens, lighting and filters
Versatile ring mounts and filter translation mounts allow use of multiple lens and filter pairings.
LAT with imaging
Using interchangeable optical components, image capture can be tailored to the properties of the biological specimen being ablated.
