PhD student Jagdeep Sidhu was awarded Outstanding Agricultural Graduate Student Award from the AASIO

Jagdeep Singh Sidhu, PhD student in the Roots Lab, was recently awarded the Outstanding Agricultural Graduate Student Award from the Association of Agricultural Scientists of Indian Origin (AASIO). Jagdeep Singh Sidhu belongs to a farming family in Punjab, and he received his M.S. from South Dakota State University and B.S. degree in agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University. He is working with Dr. Jonathan Lynch on identifying novel root traits for drought and nitrogen stress in crop plants.
