Funding freeze on ARPA-E has been lifted, allowing the Roots Lab to begin using their new grant funds.

Last month, ARPA-E froze funds for new projects to ensure they were in line with the new administration's priorities. The Roots Lab has now received the funds for the "ROOTS" project and has planted the first corn crop for the project. Read more at Sciencemag.org
