Summary
3D models are constructed from images of root crowns using Dirt3D. The number and resolution of these images allows for the extraction of phenes, such as root length, number, and diameter. Data will be used to inform OpenSimRoot models and further phenotyping of large panels.
DIRT is currently available in the public domain on CyVerse. DIRT3D will be deployed similarly.
