Seeding of grasses in the greenhouse

Creeping bentgrass (A4) and annual bluegrass (WT) growing operations in greenhouse at Penn State.  Seeded by Garrett Price, Danny Kline and Audrey Simard on Feb. 24th, 2021. These plants will be used to conduct phytohormone assays induced by the Annual bluegrass weevil (ABW) larval feeding.

Second Wave

Annual bluegrass and two creeping bentgrass cultivars A4 and Penn Cross were seeded on March 9, 2021 for a nutritional component study. We aim to determine protein, oil, antioxidant and chlorophyl content of known hosts of the Annual Bluegrass weevil in hopes to identity tolerant traits.
