- Resin bags are rinsed with demineralised water, the bag is opened up and the resin is rinsed over a sieve and than into a cup with a lid.
- The demineralised water in the cup is removed, using a suction tool or machine
- KCl solution 2M is prepared by adding 150 g KCl per liter.
- 100 ml KCl solution is added to each cup and the cups are shaken for 1 hour.
- The resin from each cup is filtered and the filtrate stored in a fridge or freezer for longer time.
- The filtrate is analyzed on a spectrophotometer or other appropriate analyzer.
