Dual-Title MS and PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Science and International Agriculture and Development
The dual-title degree combines expertise in a student's AEPS specialization with perspectives and methods for applying research in an international context. The program considers different countries, agricultural systems, and communities and how scientific knowledge can contribute to agricultural development around the world.
This interdisciplinary preparation can support careers in science, outreach, international agricultural development, and project leadership. Students integrate both study fields through coursework and research, with doctoral students completing a dissertation that reflects AEPS and INTAD.
Students must first be admitted to the AEPS graduate program and the Fox Graduate School before applying to the INTAD dual-title program. Students must meet the requirements of both programs.

Dual-Title PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Science and Microbiome Sciences
The dual-title PhD combines expertise in a student's AEPS specialization with knowledge and research approaches from microbiome sciences to develop an integrated understanding of interactions among plant hosts, microbes, and environmental systems.
This interdisciplinary approach is particularly relevant to research involving plant and soil systems, agricultural and environmental sciences, biological sustainability, and related fields. Students must first be admitted to the AEPS PhD program and the Fox Graduate School before applying to the Microbiome Sciences dual-title program. Their doctoral research and dissertation must integrate both AEPS and Microbiome Sciences.
Students are encouraged to enter the dual-title program early in their doctoral training and must do so no later than the end of their fourth semester, excluding summer semesters.
