The "Tasty Mozambique" cookbook was recently released, highlighting local bean recipes.

The CRIB project developed a low-literacy cookbook including bean recipes. This cookbook highlights the stories and recipes of small holder Mozambican women farmers involved in participatory variety selection of the new varieties of common bean. The photograph based instructions depict how to make delicious bean based dishes using locally available ingredients and cooking materials such as clay pots and wood as a cooking fuel. Copies of the cookbook have been distributed through the villages where pilot promotional campaigns were conducted where they are held in common trust and individuals can borrow the book for a period of time, as in a library.
