Travis Russell Places 3rd in Student Research Competition at CSSA Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX

Travis Russell, a second year PhD candidate in the Turfgrass Management Laboratory, won 3rd place for his oral presentation "2,4-D Resistant Buckhorn Plantain (Plantago lanceolata) in Pennsylvania and Alternative Control Options" at the Crop Science Society of America Annual Meeting taking place November 9-13 in San Antonio, Texas. His presentation was included in the turfgrass pest management student competition in the C-5 (turfgrass science) division. Additionally, Travis received a travel grant from the College of Agriculture at Penn State University and won the Chris Stiegler Turf Science Student Travel Award from CSSA to support his travel to the conference.
