Tuition

Penn State's Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program approves tuition rates and mandatory fees each July.

Penn State's tuition rates vary by student level and residency. Below are the semester tuition rates for individual students.

Tuition per 8-week term

  • Pennsylvania residents ($3119)
  • Non-PA residents ($5670)

*Tuition rates for 2024-2025 are subject to change.

Mandatory Fees and Books

Students are required by the University to pay any mandatory fees. The purchase of class textbooks must also be covered by the student.

Book expenses vary by term, but students can expect to pay $100 to $300 per term. Many books are utilized in more than one class, and book fees usually decrease in later terms of the program.

Housing

Housing rates vary each year and are determined and finalized each July. Rates vary depending upon housing location, but typically range from $2536-$2739 per semester.

First-year students are required to live on campus in University residence halls if rooms are available. If rooms are not available, students are aided in finding suitable accommodations near the campus. Special permission to live off campus is granted to commuters and to married students whose spouses will reside with them.

Second-year students may live in the University residence halls if rooms are available or they may live off campus. Most students, however, choose to live on campus throughout their time at Penn State due to reduced costs relative to off campus housing.

Dining Services

Dining rates vary each year and are determined and finalized by the University each July. Depending on the plan selected, meals plans will range from approximately $1090 to $1400 per term.

All students who live in the University residence halls are required to have a meal plan unless their residence also includes a kitchen. Meal points may be used in any residence hall cafeteria or at select locations on and around campus. Students who do not live on campus also have the option to purchase meal plans.
