The Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program Achievement Award, as established by the graduating Class of 1978, is designed with the purpose of giving recognition to the graduating student whose attitude and personal character are most outstanding, and are in keeping with the accepted ideals of the turfgrass profession.
The purpose of this award is to improve the understanding and relationship among students, and to give more impetus and meaning to the goals established in The Pennsylvania State University Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program. Any student of the Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program, fourth term, is eligible to win the award. The student will be selected by their fellow classmates on the following criteria: cooperation with others, professional attitude, personal conviction, moral character, personality.
